Sponsored by the American Library Association, Preservation Week inspires actions to preserve personal, family, and community collections, in addition to library, museum, and archive collections. It also raises awareness of the role cultural institutions play in providing ongoing preservation education and information. All institutions are encouraged to do at least one thing, even if it is small, to celebrate Preservation Week.
